The Tempest
Presented at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, located in Montgomery, Alabama. Performed February 24th thru March 12th, 2023.
The Tempest, Shakespeare's last play, is about the magician Prospero and her quest to regain her power and title as rightful Duke of Milan. After causing a great tempest, the ship containing Prospero's brother Antonio, the King of Naples Alonso and his son Ferdinand, as well as other members of the royal court, crash onto Prospero's island, where she lives with her daughter Miranda and the island spirits Ariel and Caliban. She plots her schemes to trick them and mess with them until they reveal their true colors.
As the Wardrobe Supervisor for the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, I managed the dressing rooms and costumes (made run plots for the show and took care of laundering and dry cleaning), assisted with costume needs (presetting costumes and helping with backstage changes), supervised wardrobe staff, and worked alongside the costume shop and wig team to bring the costumes, hair, and makeup together.
