Jubilee
Presented at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, located in Montgomery, Alabama. Performed January 5th thru 29th, 2023.

The Fisk Jubilee singers were a group of African American singers performing to the populace America, and eventually the world, to spread their message and raise funds for their school devoted to educating people of color. This musical, featuring spirituals and hymns they would have sung back then, tells of their harrowing and inspirational story. Taking place in the late 1800's, this show features beautiful costumes with the appropriate under dressings for the women (heavy petticoats, cage crinolines, and corsets).

As the Wardrobe Supervisor for the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, I managed the dressing rooms and costumes (made run plots for the show and took care of laundering and dry cleaning), assisted with costume needs (getting the women in and out of costume, running quick changes), supervised wardrobe staff, and worked alongside the costume shop and wig team to bring the costumes, hair, and makeup together.
