Cabaret
Presented at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, located in Montgomery, Alabama. Performed July 6th to August 6th, 2023.
Set during the cusp of World War II in Germany, it follows Sally Bowles and her interactions with the rising Nazi presence in Berlin and a mysterious American stranger, Cliff Bradshaw.
As the Wardrobe Supervisor for the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, I managed the dressing rooms and costumes. I made run plots for the show and took care of the laundering and dry cleaning of the costumes. I assisted with costume needs, like alterations and helping actors into costume, supervised wardrobe staff, and worked alongside the costume shop and wig team to bring the costumes, hair, and makeup together. I also orchestrated and performed the many quick changes during the run of the show.
As the Bookkeeper for the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, I assist the costume shop in organizing paperwork and receipts, managing the costume shop budget, and ordering costume pieces, fabrics, notions, office supplies, and more. This show was primarily purchased, so this was a major aspect of my role for this show.
